Job Summary:

Mission Statement This position is located within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (OUSD(AT&L;)) which is responsible for services including Acquisition System; research and development; production; logistics; command, control, communications, and intelligence activities related to acquisition; military constructions; and procurement. The Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (USD (AT&L;) is the Principal Staff Assistant and advisor to the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Defense for all matters relating to the DoD acquisition system, research and development, advanced technology, developmental test and evaluation, production, logistics, installation management, military constructions, procurement, environmental security, and nuclear, chemical and biological matters. The Office of Manufacturing and Industrial Base Policy (MIBP) is responsible for supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) by providing detailed analyses and in-depth understanding of the increasingly global, commercial, and financially complex industrial supply chain essential to our national defense. MIBP is DoD's lead in all matters relating to mergers, acquisitions, and dissolutions of national security-related businesses.
